Cbanker sees key rate at 11.5–12.5%, inflation at 4% in 2024

SOCHI, Sep 28 (PRIME) -- Russia’s central bank expects the average key rate at 11.5–12.5% annually, and inflation at 4% in the entire 2024, Director of the financial stability department Yelizaveta Danilova said at the International Banking Forum on Thursday.

“Our target remains unchanged at 4%. At the end of 2024, we will reach it. And we will keep the inflation at the same level further,” she said.

“We expect the average key rate to amount to 11.5–12.5% next year. Thus, the situation on the mortgage market will improve,” she added.

Danilova said that there is no bubble on the mortgage market, but there are some misbalances that should be eliminated to make the market healthier.
